Eastern Mennonite University Lecture Hall and Museum

Eastern Mennonite University prepares students to serve and lead in a global context. Their community of learning integrates Christian faith, academic rigor, artistic creation and reflective practice informed by the liberal arts, interdisciplinary engagement and cross-cultural encounter.

Phase 3 of the Suter Science Center Renovation completed the rejuvenation of a 50 year-old campus icon. Two rooms were the centerpiece; the Swartzendruber Lecture Hall and the Hostetter Museum of Natural History. The Lecture Hall was designed to accommodate current university pedagogy of collaborative work and smaller class size. The Museum is now housed in the old planetarium, bringing new life to this treasured space.
