About

Our Story

About was founded with a can-do spirit and a simple purpose: to serve good people doing great things, by creating buildings that change lives.

We take our responsibility for shaping the built environment seriously. We desire to produce nothing less than a superior service to you, our clients. Our philosophy is to understand your goals, integrate building materials, systems, and technology, and through an interactive design process, create solutions that exceed your expectations. We strive to meet your functional, budgetary, and aesthetic parameters through a high level of personal service and attention to detail. We strongly believe in our public responsibility to create spaces that are safe, environmentally sensitive, evocative, and forward thinking.

Our mission is to deliver innovative buildings of lasting value that exceed your expectations.

This powerful team provides you with architecture, design, and planning services across a wide variety of private sector and government solutions. The benefit for you is that our expanded staff has more experience providing a broad range of services to a wider range of clients, has the capacity to handle much larger projects in a broader geography, and has access to more resources to complete projects with the highest quality on time and on budget.

Our History

LDDBluelineTM was born from the combined forces of Lyman Davidson Dooley, Inc. and Blueline Holding Company, LLP.

Lyman Davidson Dooley, Inc. (LDD), a Georgia corporation, was established in 1988 from the desire of Steven G. Lyman and Rowland Davidson, to challenge their professional abilities in quality, service, and design. In 1994, a Nashville, Tennessee office was established, and a new partner joined the team. The company’s name changed to Lyman Davidson Dooley, Inc. Two years later, they expanded into the Tampa market.

Blueline’s story began in 2004, when Randy Seitz moved to Harrisonburg, Virginia to launch an architecture firm in his hometown. Building on strong community ties and relationships from working in Washington D.C. and Indiana, Blueline grew to serve the mid-Atlantic and Midwest. In 2019 Blueline acquired Turner Duran Architects. Jack Duran and the team in Houston helped to strengthen Blueline’s reputation for leading clients through the complexity of building projects and delivering buildings that tell the client’s unique story.
